The News Minute | January 9, 2015 | 09.20 am ISTA lawyer, part of the AIADMK advocates wing in Cuddalore, has been given a seven-day jail sentence for condemning a special court judge who convicted and sentenced former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa in a disproportionate assets case. The 50 year-old advocate was found guilty of displaying posters containing objectionable comments. Given a seven day jail term for pasting the posters, he was given an additional seven-day jail sentence for disfiguring public places , reported Times of India.  Both sentences will run concurrently, said the report.The lawyer, T Thangakolanjinathan, was then sent to the Cuddalore central prison by the Tittakudi police.Following the conviction verdict in the case, Thangakolanjinathan put up posters in public spots in Tittakudi criticising Special Judge John Michael Cunha for his verdict sentencing and convicting Jayalalithaa with a four year imprisonment term and a Rs.100 crore penalty.
