Incest plot gets a Tamil writer physically assaulted

The News Minute | February 26, 2015 | 01.40 pm ISTA Tamil writer ‘Puliyur' Murugesan was assaulted by a group belonging to the Kongu Vellalar Community for his portrayal of their women folk in his latest collection of short stories.The author, Murugesan, had written a collection of short stories titled Balachandran Enroru Peyarum Enaku released in December . Of the 13 short stories, one of the them had portrayed a relationship between a man and his daughter-in-law which had angered the community, reported New Indian Express. According to the report, sources said that the author had been allegedly abducted and physically assaulted before the police rescued him.While some of those belonging to the Kongu Vellalar community took part in a road blockade, community members sought an apology from the writer over his plot.TweetFollow @thenewsminute
