Hindu Munnani denies involvement in Erode poster on Islamic State

The News Minute | January 6, 2014 | 09:05 am ISTA poster which surfaced in Erode announced a cash award of Rs. 1 crore for any information on Muslim women who had been sent abroad to join the Islamic State(IS).The posters allegedly put up in the name of Hindu Munnai created a lot of unrest with political outfits demanding stern action against the perpetrators, reported The New Indian Express. However, the Hindu Munnani leaders denied any role in putting up the posters saying that it is the handiwork of anti-social elements. The Munnani State vice President K Pusappan whose mobile number was on the poster denied any involvement in the issue, said SP M R Sibi Chakravathy.Pusappan also said that since the poster carried his phone number, he had received threat calls, said the report. The district police has provided additional security to the Hindu Munnani leaders.
