Friend who kept media and police informed on caste leader Yuvaraj's surrender, arrested

Amutharasu, a 42-year old-man who was allegedly spreading information to the media and police about the surrender details of then absconding caste leader and murder accused Yuvaraj has been arrested by the Tamil Nadu police.

Amutharasu, Yuvaraj's friend, according to the police was sending messages through WhatsApp and was produced before the Chief Judicial Magistrate of Namakkal district after his arrest.

Amutharasu is known to be a resident of Pernundurai of Erode district and a long-distance Law student. 

The Chief Judicial Magistrate, Malarmathi has sent him to 15 days remand in judicial custody. 

Reportedly, Amutharasu had spread information in advance about Yuvraj’s surrendering before the CB-CID office on Sunday.

Yuvaraj, a caste leader is accused of murdering Dalit youth Gokulraj in June this year. Gokulraj’s decapitated body was found near the railway tracks in Namakkal after he was reportedly spotted with a caste-Hindu girl at the Tiruchengode temple.
