Free wifi for 30 minutes at Chennai's Central Railway Station

The News Minute | September 26, 2014 | 08:35 am ISTIt's good news for travellers using the Chennai Central Railway station.After the recent decision to introduce wifi service in select MTC buses in the city, Chennai’s Central railway station is providing wifi-service at the station for commuters, said The New Indian Express. A pilot project which is expected to cost around Rs. 60 lakh, it will allow users free 30 minutes Internet access and provision to use other services such as ticket reservation and train enquiries. This pilot project will make use of 40 Wi-FI equipments for this endeavour.
