Fight between school students leads to death in Dindigul

The News Minute| November 13, 2014| 08.52 am ISTA fight between two school students turned fatal as a 16 year-old student of the Kallar Reclamation Higher Secondary School at Vilampatti in Dindigul district died after being beaten to death.A resident of Ethilode, the class eleven student tore a textbook of his friend who in turned attacked him, reported The Hindu.The boy fell unconscious after being punched in the neck and died instantly. Parents and relatives of the deceased boy demanded action against the school which is fighting to manage with lesser staff. Atleast a third of the teaching posts in the school were lying vacant, said the report. Even the post of physical education teacher, who controls behaviour of students in government schools post classes has been vacant for a long time, said the report. The accused has been sent to a juvenile home.
