The News Minute| November 29, 2014| 8.23 am ISTTamil Nadu has made clear its displeasure to its neighbour, Kerala and asked its forest , police and water resources department officials not to interfere in the daily activities of the Mullaperiyar dam . TN Chief Secretary Mohan Verghese Chunkath wrote in a letter to this Kerala counterpart that his state officials were being prevented from carrying out their activities despite promises not to interfere by the Kerala government, reported The Hindu. According to Chunkath, TN officials had been prevented from proceeding towards the dam by Kerala government forest officials on the basis of higher orders, reported New Indian Express. He also alleged that Soundaram, an assistant executive engineer had to be frisked  before heading towards the dam.The failure of the Kerala Police to prevent unauthorized people from entering the dam location, was also mentioned. Following this , Central  Industrial Security Force had been deployed to guard the dam.  The letter also hinted that the Tamil Nadu could approach the Supreme Court if there was failure on part of Kerala, said the report.
