Written by : TNM Staff

Three rebel leaders of DMDK have been rewarded with election berths from their home constituencies as the DMK released its full list of candidates on Wednesday for the forthcoming assembly polls.

These three rebel leaders- Chandrakumar, Parthiban and Sekar joined the DMK-fold after they were thrown out of the party for expressing their displeasure at the party’s decision to align with the PWF.

Chandrakumar, the sitting MLA of Erode East, will seek re-election from the same constituency. Likewise, other Makkal DMDK leaders Parthiban and Sekar will contest from Mettur and Gummidipoondi respectively.

The Makkal DMDK, the breakaway group of Vijayakanth-led DMDK, on Tuesday said it has been allotted three constituencies following a meeting with DMK supremo Karunanidhi.

Vijayakanth had aligned with the PWF after prolonged discussions with the DMK.
