Divine imagery: Awesome pictures of the consecration of Mylapore Kapaleeswarar Temple in Chennai

The 'kumbhabishekam', or consecration, of the Kapaleeswarar Temple in Mylapore in Chennai took place on Sunday at 8.45M. The Sivacharyas chanted mantras and thousands of devotees hailed Kapaleeswarar, thronging the temple to witness the event. The Sivacharyas performed 'kumbabisekham' for Raja Gopuram and other Gopurams in the temple with holy water. Here are some images from the event which was attended by thousands of devotees.
