Defamation case filed against TNCC chief

The Tamil Nadu government today filed a criminal defamation case against TNCC chief E V K S Elangovan for his alleged remarks against Governor K Rosaiah.

City Public Prosecutor M L Jegan filed the case in the Principal Sessions Court.

Elangovan had allegedly made the remarks against the governor in an interview to a TV channel on April 30.

Jegan said the case was filed as the remarks were defamatory in nature.
