Here is a controversy over another Kamal Haasan film. Association for Progress of Tamil Nadu Arunthathiyar has filed a complaint against Kamal Haasan’s movie Sabash Naidu at the collector’s office in Coimbatore on Monday.

In the petition, the association has asked the collector to stall the shooting of the movie. They alleged that the movie only promotes one caste over the others.

Elangovan, president of the association said, “The movie is titled ‘Sabash Naidu’ and by using that they are trying to portray Naidu community as a higher caste. Why they are highlighting only one community, does it mean that all the other communities are lower than them?” he asked.

He wants the makers of the movie to change the title and want the Tamil Nadu government to ban the film. “We want that no banners, hoardings or posters of the movie are put up,” he said.

The association claimed that if no action is taken against the movie then they will carry out a mass agitation in Coimbatore and Chennai.
