Cop fears for life after convict seeking revenge jumps parole

However, in real life a retired police inspector will soon face sleepless nights after a murder convict he helped put in prison, jumped parole. According to former inspector P Sukumar, the convict, Jayakumar had warned him that he would exact revenge after police arrested him over multiple murder cases in 2007, reported Times of India. Arrested in connection the murders, Jayakumar soon confessed to the crimes committed for gain. He was convicted and given a death sentence but after an appeal, the sentence was commuted to life imprisonment.It was during the course of the trial that Jayakumar threatened the police inspector. Soon, Jayakumar challenged the life sentence too. However, the court dismissed the petition by the convict. Released on parole to visit his wife and two children in Sembium, Jayakumar escaped even as policemen kept a watch on him . It was then that Sukumar, the police officer, lodged a complaint with the JJ Nagar police fearing his life. TweetFollow @thenewsminute
