Congress asks Karti Chidambaram to explain his initiative 'G67', remarks against party

The News Minute| January 23, 2015| 2.00 pm ISTThe Tamil Nadu unit of the Congress on Friday issued a show cause notice to Karti Chidambaram, son of former Union Minister P Chidambaram, asking the leader to explain some remarks he allegedly made against the party and veteran leader Kamaraj.TNCC President EVKS Elangovan has confirmed that a show cause notice has been sent and Karti has been told to reply within a week,The TNCC has called Karti Chidambaram's move to form a new initiative termed 'G67' involving party workers, as "anti-party activity and groupism." Karti has been accused by  the Congress of inviting party workers from all constituencies to be part of this meeting, in which he also made statements against the top party leadership.It had been reported in November 2014 that the Congress cannot capture power in Tamil Nadu by invoking the name of its stalwart K Kamaraj alone..Tweet
