During DMK Treasurer’s recent visit to a private engineering college near Arcot in Vellore district, a girl, out of the blue, tried to gift him a liquor bottle, stating how alcoholism is wrecking lives. The leader was taken aback, responded by saying that if his party comes to power, alcohol prohibition will be applied in the state.

He was on his two-day trip to Vellore for his campaign ‘Nammake Namme’. The girl, Vijayageetha, told Stalin that her father had died because of liquor consumption and asked what her condition will be if her mother also dies. Stalin consoled her and said if our Government comes liquor will be prohibited in the state.
