There was a hassle at the centre only for the students to find out that the exam-in-charge was not present at the centre and he had forgotten all about the exams, according to The New Indian Express.

The education department officials and chief education officer had reached the school and found the centre superintendent and 17 teachers missing. The education department called teachers from nearby schools in Perumbakkam, Kanai, Kalpattu to conduct the exams.

After repeated calls to him, he reached the school. However, the exams begin half-an-hour late. Thirunavalur government high school headmaster was appointed as the superintendent of the exam centre.

Parents alleged that such an incident before the exams could upset their children and affect their marks.
