Class 8 student stabbed 16 times over homosexuality rumours

The News Minute| November 29, 2014| 8.10 am ISTA class 8 student was stabbed 16 times by a high school dropout in a government school in Pandalkudi, Tamil Nadu on Friday.Baskar, a 13 year-old student was attacked and killed by Mareeswaran, aged 18, after he allegedly believed that the boy was spreading tales about his homosexuality, reported The New Indian Express. Mareeswaran scaled the school wall and entered the classroom after which he began attacking the boy. The entry escaped the watchman’s attention. Baskar died as he was being shifted to the ambulance after sustaining grievous injuries, said the report.
