The News Minute | December 13, 2014 | 08.15 am ISTChennai police were on a different sort of work on Friday , the day of Rajinikanth-Lingaa’s release.Instead of patrolling their regular beats, police were occupied distributing movie tickets to politicians and higher level bureaucrats wanting to catch the movie on its first day, reported Times of India.Over this, regular patrolling other police activities like registering first information reports took lesser importance, said the report. Usually, higher level bureaucrats and politicians seek free tickets for big events like releases of movies, IPL matches, new year parties and for Carnatic shows.
