Chennai man cons multiple women into wedlock; arrested

The News Minute | March 25, 2015 | 09.20 am ISTAfter hoodwinking three women with his money and smooth talk, a Chennai-based engineer has been finally caught by the police after a complaint by his fourth wife. R Srinivasan, a 38 year-old engineer and an MBA graduate was charged under IPC sections of cheating and bigamy after he began the practice of marrying different women he met through matrimonial sites, reported Times of India. He would marry the women and then transfer all their assets to his bank account, said the report. Lodged currently in Puzhal jail, Srinivasan had been first married and settled in the US. However, the couple fought leading to a divorce in 2010. Soon after, Srinivasan met a woman whom he married secretly after the girl’s parents refused to give their consent. Later, without any formal separation, he met another woman, a Coimbatore-based doctor following which the couple married, reported New Indian Express. It was only after Srinivasan’s fourth wife came across evidence indicating at his past relationships that the complaint was made to the police. TweetFollow @thenewsminute
