CEO of MNC caught receiving shipment of cocaine via courier in Chennai

The CEO of an MNC was on Wednesday nabbed by the Chennai police on Wall Tax Road for possessing 3.88 grams of narcotic cocaine.According to a report in The Times of India, officials from the Narcotics Control Board (NCB) acted on a tip-off. 50-year-old Sanjiv Bhatnagar was apprehended for intercepting the parcel from the office of a SMPK Cargo and Courier Services at close to 3 p.m.The cost of the drug he had obtained is close to Rs 20,000. Bhatnagar was reportedly taken into custody along with his driver.Reportedly, investigations revealed that Bhatnagar had been ordering the drug from a website on the internet and a Bengaluru-based supplier was sending it to Chennai. “He confessed that the seized drug was for his personal use,” NCB zonal director Prem Anand Sinha was quoted as saying.The authorities also added that Bhatnagar had been availing of the “service” for the past year.Also Read: 'President' Arnab Goswami is now the big boss at ET Now too
