Bhavani Singh not impartial; says DMK calling for his removal as SPP

The News Minute | February 27, 2015 | 09.06 am ISTIn relation to a disproportionate assets case involving J Jayalalithaa, DMK leader K Anbazhagan has moved the Supreme Court on Thursday calling for a stay in the Karnataka High Court proceedings.The DMK general secretary approached the court calling for a removal of the Special Public Prosecutor Bhavani Singh in the case alleging that he had not been partial in the issue, reported PTI. A bench headed by Chief Justice HL Dutta will be hearing the plea and has posted the case to Friday, said the report. The leader had earlier moved the Supreme Court challenging a plea seeking to help the prosecution in its appeals ; however, the plea had been dismissed by the High Court. TweetFollow @thenewsminute
