Bail for Dayanidhi Maran aides dismissed in illegal telephone exchange case

The News Minute | January 28, 2015 | 05.20 pm ISTThe bail petition of all three persons arrested in connection with the illegal telephone exchange case involving Dayanidhi Maran was dismissed by a CBI court on Wednesday. The arrested who included former Additional Private Secretary of Dayanidhai Maran, V Gowthaman, were not given bail when Special Judge Krishanmoorthy said "The investigation is at a crucial stage and the accused are influential persons and there is every possibility of tampering with the evidence if they are let on bail," reported PTI. Dismissing the bail plea of two others arrested, S Kannan and KS Ravi, the court had on Tuesday dismissed a CBI petition calling for custodial interrogation of the three arrested in the case.
