Attack by unmarried sisters on brother over his marriage plans turn fatal

The News Minute | November 25, 2014 | 09.20 am ISTTwo unmarried sisters in Chennai made a brutal attempt to kill their younger brother over his marriage plans, after which they attempted to kill themselves resulting in the death of one of the two sisters.When Manigandan, aged 32, announced his plans to get married, the news did not go down well with his two sisters Mahadevi, aged 38, and Nirmala Devi, aged 36, since he was the breadwinner of the family, reported Times of India. The sisters attacked him with a clothes iron and slit his throat before he was rushed to the hospital, the head wound requiring 46 stitches. When the police returned to the house, they found that both sisters had slit their throats. While Nirmala was found dead, Mahadevei was alive but  found bleeding profusely.Both brother and sister are in critical condition, said police according to reports.
