The News Minute| May 20, 2014| 11.00 pm ISTSonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi offered to resign, Congress party rejected it. DMK's Stalin offered to resign and took back the offer in a matter of hours. Mayawati and Mulayam Singh have unleashed their fury by sacking party functionaries. All these parties have one thing in common- they all fared miserably at the Lok Sabha polls and so these parties introspecting or even sacking people comes across as no surprise. But in Tamil Nadu, the AIADMK won 37 out of 39 seats, the party has emerged as the third largest party after BJP and Congress. But all that has not impresser Jayalalithaa. The TN Chief Minister today sacked the state Labour Minister sacked from cabinet and two key party postsK P Munusamy has been relieved as Krishnagiri district secretary. On Monday, she dismissed three ministers and six party functionaries in the state. All these sackings came as a result of AIADMK’s defeat in the three Lok Sabha seats of Kanyakumari, Dharmapuri and Puducherry, which were won by the BJP, PMK and AINRC respectively.Minister for Revenue BV Ramanaa, Minister for Agriculture S Damodaran and Minister for Labour KT Pachamal were the ones sacked by the AIADMK chief on Monday. That Jayalalitha is taking the loss of those three seats very seriously, is evident by her actions. It is a hint for the party workers to gear up for the assembly elections in two years.
