Days after she sacked senior leader Natham R Viswanathan as party's Dindigul District Secretary in a post-poll shake-up, AIADMK supremo J Jayalalithaa on Wednesday appointed him to two key party posts.

Jayalalithaa announced the appointment of Viswanathan, Electricity Minister in the previous AIADMK government, as party's Organisation Secretary and also as a Spokesperson.

In her party's post-poll restructuring last week, Jayalalithaa had removed Viswanathan as the Dindigul District Secretary, following his defeat to DMK veteran I Periasamy from Athoor in the May 16 Assembly polls.

Jayalalithaa also named her cabinet colleagues, P Thangamani (Industries) and SP Velumani (Municipal Administration) as the other Organising Secretaries of AIADMK.
