The News Minute | October 7, 2014 | 11.00 am ISTAfter a series of demonstrations, fasts and posters that have sprung up in protest against the conviction of AIADMK leader J Jayalalithaa, some posters have taken a more hostile stance.One of the latest posters that has been put up by the AIADMK South candidate in Chennai threatens to hold Kannadigas residing in Tamil Nadu hostage if Jayalalithaa is not released. The poster also names AIADMK MP Kumar, Minister B. Valarmathi and MLA Kalairajan. Sr M N Reddy, Commissioner of Police in Bangalore has already discussed the anti-Kannadiga posters with his Chennai counterpart. The Chennai city police, however, has told that the said poster against the Kannadigas has already been removed. The AIADMK has denied having any responsibility over the posters. The poster was then removed by AIADMK workers in an attempt to disown them from the party.This is not the first time the Kannadiga issue has been brought up. Previously, another poster had been put up depicting a baby asking for 'Amma' in exchange for Cauvery.
