After political flop, Captain back to reel life

Written by : TNM Staff

After a humiliating defeat, DMDK Chief Vijayakant took to Twitter to announce, “My victory has been delayed. Don’t fret about it as I shall soon form the government.” He also added that fate would be rewritten soon.

But with elections behind, Captain is back in business. In a series of tweets, the actor-turned-politician said he had commenced shooting for his next film “Thamizhan Endru Sol” and released working stills of him from the set. This is Captain’s first film as the lead in six years.

The film is being directed by Arun Ponnambalam, and also stars his son Shanmuga Pandian.

Vijayakant suffered his worst defeat, not only losing to AIADMK’s Kumaraguru but also forfeiting his deposit.
