With less than a month to go for polls in the state, Tamil actor 'Powerstar' Srinivasan joined the BJP on Monday in the presence of Union Minister Pon Radhakrishnan.

This announcement comes close to the heels of incumbent AIADMK roping in actress Namitha to join campaign activities on Saturday.

Srinivasan who made his debut in N Santhanam directed Kanna Laddu Thinna Aasaiya in 2014, later went on to bag many similar comic roles.

Srinivasan besides from being an actor made news when he was arrested in New Delhi in June, 2013 for allegedly duping a businessman.

Apart from being a popular actor, Srinivasan has also donned the role of a film financier and director.
