300 Amma Amudham Departmental Stores to be started in Tamil Nadu

The News Minute | August 2, 2014 | 11:33 am IST300 Amma Amudham Departmental Stores will be opened in Tamil Nadu, s aid Chief Minister Jayalalithaa in the State Assembly on Friday, states a report by The News Indian Express. These stores will cost Rs 37.17 crore. 23 Amudham Departmental Stores are already run by the Tamil Nadu Civil Supplies Corporation and 114 departmental stores are run by cooperative institutions in the state. The new Amma Amudham Departmental Stores will help in extending the services. The state government also runs Amma canteen and Amma medical shops along with selling Amma mineral water and Amma salt
