10 persons reconvert to Hinduism in Chennai

In a ghar wapsi programme held by the Bharath Hindu Munnani in North Chennai, ten people including women were reconverted to Hinduism, reported The Hindu. According to Central Chennai District President , K Satish , ‘continuance of personal issues’ in the new religion was among the reasons cited by the people, reported PTI. Explaining how those wanting to reconvert were identified, he said that pamphlets had been distributed appealing to those who had ‘quit the Hndu faith’ asking them to contact the outfit if they wanted to come back, said the report. Though the reconversion was conducted along with rituals, the police disrupted attempts to hold rituals in three other places before the group finally organised it in a small temple, said the report. RD Probhu, State president of the outfit, had been placed under house arrest in order to prevent any community clashes. TweetFollow @thenewsminute
