Video: Thank you Tharoorji, keep throwing the googlys at me, says Sreesanth

Sreesanth has been creating quite a few Twitter storms and for all the wrong reasons. First the former cricketer called Kerala a city and faced much ridicule from Twitterati. Thereafter, he had a spat with Congress MP Shashi Tharoor when the latter called him out on his apparent lack of general knowledge about his constituency, Thiruvananthapuram.

The once feisty bowler however says he is enjoying his social media outing. When asked about the ‘Kerala city’ fiasco, Sreesanth brushed off the furor as misinterpreted punctuation –

“It doesn’t matter if certain people were worried that I called Kerala a city. Those people need to differentiate a comma from a full stop. If they still want to make fun of me, they can do, I am more than happy. A person who can laugh at oneself will always do well.”

Although the war of words seemed to end on a cordial note with the Congress MP, when asked about his thoughts on the incident, the cricketer turned politician came up with a cheeky response for Tharoor –

“Respected sir, thank you very much. You have always been letting me learn. Since you are an amazing politician, it will help me. Keep throwing the googlys and full tosses at me.  In one way it also shows that you are always thinking of me and BJP is in your mind.”

Sreesanth is contesting from the Thiruvanthapuram constituency in Kerala as a BJP candidate.
