An inclusive Women's Day: This video of a trans woman's 'homecoming' will move you

Written by : TNM Staff

Society begins at home.

And so does acceptance.

UrbanClap's recent video, which was released to mark Women's Day on Wednesday, is all about celebrating acceptance.

"Acceptance of every woman and her choices. Whether she is a homemaker or a worker or both. Whether she loves a man or a woman or both. Whether she wants to get married or stay single. Whether she was born a woman or became one," the online marketplace that connects customers to service professionals writes in its blog

The video starts with a woman making arrangements for a party at her home. When her neighbour Renu asks what the occasion is, she tells her that her daughter is coming home for the very first time.

Renu is taken aback because she has never before heard of her neighbour even having a daughter.

Watch the video to find out how the story unfolds.
