Aaaaand the world’s Worst Border Award goes to India and Bangladesh. But in all fairness, the two countries should be sharing it with the British, who bequeathed it to them in the first place… Hmm… but maybe a quarter of the award should also go to Pakistan.

Watch the Map Men explain to you just how those little “enclaves” in India and Bangladesh came about. The “enclaves” are little pockets of India in Bangladesh (surrounded by Bangladesh on all sides), and little pockets of Bangladesh in India (surrounded by India on all sides).

Oh, and although they’re British, the Map Men haven’t spared the original empire of its responsibility in the mess.
