SP of Kishanganj on Wednesday issued a directive for the arrest of controversial AIMIM leader Akbaruddin Owaisi regarding his 'hate speech'.

The MLA was booked by the Kishanganj district administration for allegedly making a provocative speech at an election rally in Bihar on Sunday.

Owaisi was charged under Sections 153A and 188 of the IPC at the Kochadhaman police station for his alleged communal speeches and defamatory statements against PM Modi.

While Section 153A deals with promoting enmity between different groups on the grounds of religion, race, place of birth, residence, language and doing acts prejudicial to maintenance of harmony, Section 188 deals with non-compliance to order duly promulgated by a public servant.
