This is the fake message that fooled many on social media on Thursday and Friday, and sent the internet, or at least a part of it, in a tizzy.

The message which is said to have originated on WhatsApp- several WhasApp groups were also celebrating the "news"- and later circulated on other social media sites tricked many including international billiards champion Pankaj Advani.

When he realised that the message was fake, he tweeted saying that a wrong tweet made by him gets more attention than when he wins a world title.

However, no sooner did it become clear that message was a sham, netizens did not wait to slam those spreading the rumour or those who had been fooled by it.
