We should stand up for everyone, say Delhi boys who rushed to woman's aid

That’s the moot question, isn’t it? What do we do when we see someone in trouble.

The young men of Delhi’s Malaviyanagar who rushed to help a woman in trouble, believe we should. Speaking to The Quint, one of the youth Japneet Singh said: “Whenever we come across such an incident, we shouldn’t act as mute spectators”.

"We should stand up for everyone" said one of the youth.

In August, these boys had rushed to the aid of an Uzbek national, whom a man allegedly attempted to rob. CCTV footage of the incident surfaced recently and was reported by the media on Monday. Playing in a ground nearby, these youth - the Malaviya Nagar Maniacs - gave chase to the man after seeing that the woman was teary-eyed. Once they caught him, they handed him over to the police.
