The television sensation Game of Thrones may have ended two months ago but the craze over the popular series is far from over. To this date, discussions about the series finale still continue, with many voicing their disappointment over how the series ended and some just celebrating the culmination of a story they have been following over the past eight seasons.
But what if we told you that the epic scene, where (spoiler alert) Arya Stark kills the Night King, may have been inspired by an Indian television serial? Though it's been proven otherwise, some Twitter users are convinced that this video uploaded by a Reddit user makes it seem that way. Here’s what actually happens in Game of Thrones.
(Spoiler alert: If you have not seen season eight even now, you should probably skip the next paragraph)
Episode three of Season 8, titled The Long Night, shows the war between the dead and the living. The Night King is seen approaching Bran to kill him when suddenly, Arya Stark leaps out of the shadows behind him. The Night King suddenly turns and grabs Arya by the throat with one of his hands and her knife-wielding hand with the other. However, we see Arya drop the Valyrian-steel dagger from her left to her right hand and then stab the Night King between his armour. The Night King shatters into pieces, followed by his White Walker army. The dead have been defeated and Arya is a hero.
This video, from the Indian television series Aladdin – Naam Toh Suna Hoga, is eerily similar.

The video has social media in splits, with many saying that the scene from Game of Thrones was “totally ripped off” from the Indian show.

However, while many are sharing that since the Indian show started in 2018 and the Game of Thrones episode aired two months ago, a News18 report states that the Aladdin episode was aired after the GoT episode, which means the Indian show copied GoT, not the other way around.
