Veteran actor Senthil rubbishes death rumours

On Friday, the internet was abuzz with rumours that veteran Tamil actor-comedian Senthil had passed away, much to the surprise of his fans and the industry. However, a few hours later it was subsequently denied as a rumour and the 65-year old has clarified that he’s alive and kicking in a video message.

“I’m perfectly healthy. I request all my fans and well-wishers to not believe in the death hoax that has been circulating since last night. Need your support as always,” Senthil, who is extending support for AIADMK party in the forthcoming Tamil Nadu elections, said in the video.

Best known for his partnership with well-known Tamil comedian Goundamani in a slapstick double act, the duo was regarded as one of the best comic pairs of south Indian cinema during their heydays. With over 500 films to his credit, he’s best known for his work in films such as Karagattakaran, Gentleman, Unna Ninaichen Pattu Padichen and Veera among others.
