Unhappy after being overtaken by buffalo carrying truck, SP MLA frees bovines

Written by : TNM

In what sent the police personally knocking on doors, a Samajwadi Party MLA from Sadar in Mainpuri, Rajkumar Yadav, stopped a truck carrying buffaloes and let them all out. The MLA was reportedly angered by the truck driver overtaking his car as he was passing through Kota.According to a report in the Times of India, villagers saw the cattle and quickly herded them home, resulting in the Rajasthan police going from door to door and pleading with villagers to hand over the animals.Following this, the owners of the buffaloes met the MLA at the police station, and decided to compromise and not file a case after all the 30 buffaloes were traced brought back by the police.Yadav however, insisted that the animals were being taken to the slaughterhouse. The owners, though, said the herd was on its way to a local dairy and that there was nothing illegal in the consignment."The truck grazed past and that is why I stopped it. I did not free the buffaloes. The villagers just arrived and took them away," Yadav, told TOI.
