Toyota has decided to recall 1.67 million of its vehicles globally to fix three separate defects in them.

According to Reuters, even though Toyota claimed that it was not aware of any accidents, deaths or crashes because of the defects, some 1.05 million vehicles are to be recalled in Japan and 615,000 more are to be brought back overseas.

Over the years, more and more car makers have recalled vehicles to rectify defects. Most times, vehicle recalls are done allowing it on a voluntary basis rather than making it mandatory.

Only in April, Toyota recalled 6.39 million vehicles ,but two months down the line, it issued a recall of almost 2.3 million vehicles for rectifying faulty airbag inflators, said the report.

Many models including Crown Majesta, Crown, Noah and Voxy are to be called back to replace a rubber seal.

Another recall of about 759,000 vehicles globally are to fix faulty fuel delivery pipers that could worst circumstances start a fire from a fuel leak, said the report.
