Teenager dies while attempting a variation of the ice bucket challenge

The News Minute| August 26, 2014| 12.05 am ISTCameron Lancaster, an 18-year-old from Scotland died after attempting to do a variation of the ice bucket challenge. The ice bucket challenge, that has become a craze on social media, has people filming themselves as they pour a bucket of ice water over their heads. The challenge is to raise awareness about neurodegenerative disease ALS.Lancaster, according to Telegraph,was found dead after jumping into a disused quarry. He is thought to have jumped feet first off a cliff into shallow water.The body of Lancaster, who was preparing to go to Edinburgh Napier University, was found after a four hour search.This death comes after the death a woman who was thrown off a horse, as she was filming her performance of the ice bucket challenge.
