The News Minute| October 9, 2014| 11.20 pm ISTA final viscera report of Shashi Tharoor's wife Sunanda Tharoor has found traces of poison in her. The report goes on to say that the cause of death was poisoning, but does not identify the poison. The new report by a three-member panel of doctors, who had conducted the autopsy on her, was prepared on the basis of the findings of the Central Forensic Science Laboratory (CFSL) reports IBN. The report has been handed over to the Delhi police. The report by the Medical Board of AIIMS says, "Viscera are positive for ethyl alcohol caffeine, acetaminophen and cotitine. Medical board reserved the comment on specific poison/chemical since there is a lot of limitation on viscera report."pic.twitter.com/yvSDYiaEz3— Kartikeya Sharma (@kartikeya_1975) October 9, 2014Though many people associated with the case had suggested that Sunanda Pushkar had suffered from Lupus, the viscera report rules it out.The report says that Sunanda Pushkar was not suffering from lupus, hypertension, diabetes, TB, had a healthy heart and no disease of brain, lungs, liver and kidneys.Important pic.twitter.com/3ZIIAOSVyJ— Kartikeya Sharma (@kartikeya_1975) October 9, 2014The board infers after medical examination that she was a normal healthy individual. In July this year, Dr Sudhir Gupta forensic science department head of AIIMS, had claimed that he was unduly pressured to show that Sunanda's death was natural.Tharoor had then sought a speedy enquiry. As the viscera report has now pointed out that she was poisoned, there will be criminal investigation into the case. This news comes at a time when the Kerala unit of the Congress party has asked All India Congress Committee to take disciplinary action on Tharoor for his praises of Modi. BJP candidate O Rajagopal who lost the elections from Thiruvananthapuram approached the court on Wednesday asking the court to quash Tharoor's election as he claimed Tharoor had not revealed all his assets in his affidavit.
