Popular Kannada actor and director Upendra is the latest celebrity to go public about his opinion on Aamir Khan’s ‘intolerance’ comments.

The Sandalwood star took to Twitter to express his disappointment over the comments made by ‘the hero he once admired’ and made three subsequent tweets on the issue.

While Pratap Pothen, veteran film actor-director of Tamil and Malayalam film industry posted the following on his Facebook.

“Kiran rao and Aamir khan are bothered about the safety of their children ....so they want to leave ....india .....i suggest the north pole ....santa claus is there to make their children happy ....and if what his wife has said is the truth .......then don't deserve to be here .....only you people have children and only you deserve the best ...tell me any country with all its differences better than our peninsula...”

Speaking at The Ramnath Goenka Excellence in Journalism Awards in New Delhi on Monday, celebrated Bollywood actor Aamir Khan said, “I can't deny, I have been alarmed by a number of incidents,” along with saying that his wife suggested to settle in a different country due to fear of rising intolerance.

Aamir’s comments on intolerance come after fellow Bollywood star Shah Rukh Khan had spoken about the growing ‘intolerance in the country, earlier this month.

Just like Shah Rukh’s comments on the same issue echoing the idea of an environment of rising intolerance, along the lines on which many writers, scientists and artists have returned awards, triggered a reaction among all and sundry.
