Whoever thought they could hack superstar Rajinikanth's Twitter account and get away with it, obviously went wrong.

Superstar Rajinikanth's Twitter account was reportedly hacked on Tuesday, the actor's daughter said.

However, within hours, the account was recovered.

The actor's account tweeted “Rajinikanth #HitToKill”.

Reports also suggest that the account started following Kamal Haasan, Aamir Khan, Shahrukh Khan and even Kabali’s director Ranjith, producer Thanu and PRO Riaz Ahmed, before sending out the tweet.

All actions were undone after the account was recovered.

Taking to Twitter, the 65-year-old's daughter said that Rajinikanth's account was hacked and later retrieved.
