Snapdeal takes the hit for Aamir’s ‘intolerance’ comment with #AppWapsi and #NoToSnapDeal

Thanks to the controversy over Aamir Khan’s latest comment regarding “rising intolerance” in the country over the past few months, there has been an unexpected casualty – Snapdeal. Aamir is the e-retailer’s brand ambassador, and those who disagree with Aamir for his comments have now launched an online attack.

Snapdeal is witnessing a Twitter-onslaught with the hashtag #NoToSnapdeal getting popular on twitter, while #AamirKhan being the top trend in India on Tuesday morning. Meanwhile, taking a dig at the ‘Award Wapsi’ trend recently of several writers and scientists returning their awards in protest of the government, an #AppWapsi trend is also doing the rounds.
