Actor Amit Purohit, who was last seen in the Tollywood film Sammohanam, died on Wednesday reportedly due to a cardiac arrest at the age of 35. His co-stars from the film, Aditi Rao Hydari and Sudheer Babu took to social media to express their condolences.
“Saddened by the death news of Amit Purohit. He played Amit Malhotra (Sameera's Ex Boyfriend) in Sammohanam. Very friendly guy & always gave 100 % for every shot. Another young and good actor left us too early. May his soul find peace,” wrote Sudheer.

The director of Sammohanam, Mohan Krishna Indraganti too shared his condolences on the social media platform.
“I am unable to believe it. Amit Purohith, one of the gentlest, well- behaved and hugely talented actors I have worked with. And such a generous man!!! Amith, I will miss you, man. I was thinking of casting you again soon, May you Rest In Peace, Brother,” he stated.

The actor was last seen in the Sammohanam playing the role of Amit Malhotra, Aditi’s ex-boyfriend. Amit has also starred in the Hindi films, Seven Nights, Pankh, and Aalaap. His performance in Sammohanam was met with positive reviews by critics. The film, which was produced by Sivalenka Krishna Prasad, revolved around the life of a children’s book illustrator who despises actors, but falls in love with an actor, played by Aditi Rao Hydari.
