Actor Kaushik Babu of Swami Ayyappan fame recently got married to Rathna Bhavya in a wedding ceremony in Chennai. Many celebrities and politicians could be spotted at the glitzy reception that was held at the Taramati Baradari in Hyderabad, including Telangana’s Finance Minister Harish Rao.
The actor on Instagram had posted a picture of the couple a few days back. “You are my day. You are my night. You are my everything,” Kaushik wrote, announcing the wedding to his social media fans.
The couple looked stunning in their traditional attire at the reception, which was held in the plush gardens of Taramati Baradari. While Kaushik looked regal in a golden sherwani and matching dhoti, Bhavya matched his attire wearing a sky blue Kanjeevaram saree.
The wedding reception in Hyderabad was attended by many famous personalities including former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Kiran Reddy, veteran director Raghavendra Rao, former cop VV Laxminarayana and Finance Minister Harish Rao.
Kaushik Babu was last seen in the Malayalam movie White Boys in 2015. The actor, who shot to fame with his portrayal of Swami Ayyappan in Malayalam, also has acted in Telugu movies including Pavitra and a couple of other short films. Kaushik is also a dancer and an ace gymnast.
Kaushik had announced his directorial debut with the short film Money VS Manishi in 2016 which had actor Shiva Reddy’s brother Sampath in the lead role. The actor is also popular for his role as Adi Shankaracharya in Telugu. His slew of mythological films earned him the moniker ‘Kutty NTR’ or junior NTR in Kerala, who was also popular for his dubbed mythological films in Malayalam.
