Peshawar Attacks: No Christmas, New Year celebrations in Karachi

The Karachi government has advised the cancellation of Christmas and New Year celebrations in Karachi as a mark of respect to the children killed in the Peshawar attack.

According to a report in Pakistani daily Dawn, the Karachi Commissioner has written to the Karachi Metropolitan Corporation, asking that the celebrations be cancelled as a mark of respect to the victims of the Peshawar school attack, and also given security threats at the time.
