Ola fires auto driver after woman alleges assault

Cab service Ola has fired an auto driver after he allegedly assaulted a woman passenger who put up a post on Facebook describing the beating, and later lodged a complaint with the police.The incident occurred in Bengaluru, where a woman named Divya Sharma hailed an auto in the Domlur area of the city on Wednesday and alleges that she was assaulted when she refused to pay him more than the meter fare. Ola told Scoopwhoop that it had fired the auto driver, who was apparently working with the company which offers cab and auto services in many metros.After she got into the auto, the driver said that she should pay Rs 30 more than the meter fare, which she refused. When the two argued, the man stopped the auto and allegedly dragged her out of the vehicle by grabbing her wrist.  Continuing to abuse her, the driver allegedly hit her on the arm, and when she screamed for help, passersby merely gathered around and stood watching, but no one except a young woman came to her aid. She says she later lodged a complaint with the police. Here is what Sharma posted on Facebook:
