Norway on High Alert Fearing Isis Attack

As teams from over a 100 countries arrive in Norway for a children’s soccer tournament that begins Sunday, the country is on high alert from possible attacks by Isis fighters returning to European countries.

According to a Bloomberg report Information put out by Norway’s security service suggests that the attack, which they believe to be imminent, may have been planned by their nationals returning from Syria.

Authorities have strengthened their presence at the Scandinavian country’s borders, airports and railway stations.

Airspace over Bergen on the country’s west coast has been closed and Norway’s Jewish museums in Oslo and Trondheim also closed over the weekend fearing attacks.
