Although the BCCI is forbidden to decide on matters other than routine ones at Wednesday's AGM, media reports suggest that it will propose N Srinivasan’s name as Shashank Manohar’s replacement as India’s representative in the Board of Directors at the ICC.

The Times of India reported that the Srinivasan might get the backing of none other than BCCI president Anurag Thakur and secretary Ajay Shirke who are likely to retain their positions without any challenge.

ESPNcricinfo reported that the Lodha Committee spokesperson told BCCI CEO Rahul Johri that the AGM should be limited to "routine business concerning the past year (2015-16)" and that "any business or matters relating to the next year (2016-17)" should be dealt with only after the BCCI implements the Committee's recommendations.

This speculation comes after the Tamil Nadu Cricket Association and former BCCI chief N Srinivasan was ousted from his position as ICC Chairman in the last BCCI AGM with Shashank Manohar at the helm.

Cricinfo further speculates that the decisions made on Wednesday can be contested by the Lodha Committee in the top court.
